Colby College

I received my B.A. from Colby College in 2020 with a double major in Psychology and Education, and a minor in English. Currently, I am pursuing my Master's in Educational Policy Studies at Boston University. Upon graduating from Colby, I served for two years with College Advising Corps where I advised upperclassmen at Josiah Quincy Upper School to emphatic postsecondary success. While honing my advising techniques, I oversaw students' acceptances to an extensive list of elite colleges and universities, many of which were the first in JQUS' history. My work is driven by a fierce passion for guiding others to realize their fullest potential and the belief that the college admissions process can be an immeasurably valuable learning experience. With each advising relationship, I strive to not only help students gain admission to the schools of their dreams, but to cultivate the diligence, fidelity, and confidence to thrive in college and beyond.

Hi! My name is Jesus and I graduated from Yale in 2020 where I majored in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. As a first-generation college student, I know the importance of college advising and have supported students from all walks of life as they applied to schools all across the country. I am excited to bring my years of expertise as a pre-med student interested in exploring the humanities and STEM fields through the liberal arts education at Yale as well as my years of experience advising students as they figure out what colleges they want to apply to, develop captivating essays, and determine what subjects they might be interested in exploring during college.

Jasmine attained a B.A. in history and American Studies from Colby College. During her time at Colby, she noticed the link between college accessibility, diversity, ability, and structural inequalities, which led her to pursue a graduate degree in higher education. She holds an M.S. Ed. in higher education from the University of Pennsylvania. Jasmine has 5+ years of experience assisting students in their college and scholarship pursuits. Former students have earned Gates, Questbridge, Horatio Alger, and Jack Kent Cooke Scholarships. She has also helped students gain admission to top institutions such as Cornell, WashU, Colby, Bowdoin, Columbia, Emory, UC Davis, Yale, SMU, Stanford, Vanderbilt, and Tulane among others. Jasmine's educational philosophy: student learning is the focus; student success is the goal. Jasmine was recently selected as one of six College Board Fellows, where she was recognized as a person-to-watch, national scholar, and rising leader in closing the educational attainment gap. She was also selected as a RESULTS fellow for her work as an activist and leader fighting against poverty.
